This is one of those dream projects where clients not only recognise Sowerby’s expertise as a specialist advertising and creative design agency, but where we are also valued for our supreme digital excellence and knowledge. Sowerby’s history in working closely with AMEC’s Corporate, Natural Resources and Power and Process teams made Sowerby Advertising and the Sowerby.n2 digital team the ideal choice to work alongside AMEC’s designers and developers as the appointed Digital Consultants.
With a broad knowledge of AMEC’s global operations and business sectors and services, and fully equipped with long-term relationship building throughout the AMEC team, we wrote the careers site in a new Tone of Voice. A Tone of Voice reflecting the new AMEC. An AMEC that is recognised for its provision of high value consultancy, engineering, and project management services to the world's energy, power and process industries, where the organisation designs, delivers and maintains some of the most complex assets in the world, as well as providing localised, small scale consultancy to meet the needs of regional clients.
Already an established global player, our brief was to also extol AMEC as an Employer of Choice and an organisation offering fantastic opportunities, not only throughout the UK but further afield. An AMEC where candidates can have a career, not just a job. Where candidates have a real choice of where they want to work. Onshore or Offshore. In the UK, other parts of Europe, or in America, Canada, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Then things got even better. The Sowerby.n2 team was approached to deliver a project proposal undertaking the full Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) of the site – for both corporate and careers. This is now an ongoing project where we engage with teams around the world to ensure their businesses and operations are being recognised, their projects promoted, and their key vacancies optimised through the major search engines.
So what does the future hold? Well, in the absence of a crystal ball, the Sowerby team see this as an exciting, long-term project, where we are constantly imparting digital knowledge and expertise to a great company employing a great team of people.
