‘Found it yet’ advertising campaign

 

Client

Solution Recruitment is a specialist recruitment provider in the built environment industry. Sectors they recruit for include building, construction, architecture, civil engineering, interiors design, fire engineering and professional & consultancy.

 

The task

Established within the recruitment industry for 2 years, Solution were conscious that they needed to get themselves ‘out there’. Inspired by the bigger recruitment groups, in terms of their presence in the market place and the reputation they have built, Solution decided that the time was right to introduce an advertising/marketing campaign to help develop their presence in the very competitive industry they operate in.

 

Having decided to work with Sowerby, due to our industry knowledge and experience within their sector, Solution gave us a pretty open brief in terms of what they wanted. The brief was to be ‘different’, inject a little humour and fun, which is something that can often be forgotten when recruiting. A campaign that would also take into account their personalities as well as their working ethos.

 

Our process

We spent numerous hours around the table brainstorming. From this, one campaign, ‘found it yet’, sprung to mind. The idea being based around finding the agency of choice, finding the right job, finding the solution – meaning solution recruitment.

 

The next stage was to source the imagery. We were keen to find the right choice of images to work together as a complete ‘campaign’. Imagery that would also inject a little fun and would make people smile every time a Solution advert was published.

 

Presented with 3 initial concepts, Solution instantly knew that the ‘found it yet’ campaign was right for them. Big and bold on imagery, the designs worked exceptionally well with their corporate colours and branding and even though the imagery is different for a series of adverts, the audience can instantly see that the designs have all come out of the same ‘bag’.

What the client said

Having met with the Sowerby team and providing them with a fairly ‘relaxed’ brief, using words like ‘’make sure it stands out and gets us noticed’’ ringing in their ears, I was confident that they would come up with the goods.

 

Presented with 3 different campaigns, when I saw the ‘Found it yet’ advertisements, I knew instantly that this was the one for us. The imagery was very strong and you could feel that they would virtually lift off the page due to their dominance. The ads looked so clean and crisp and there was true prominence of the job specification, coupled with the fact that the Solution brand was also very strong within the ad. Working so well together, this completed the unique design.

 

We wanted to be ‘out there’. We wanted to get lots of attention from candidates, clients and competitors. We wanted lots of publicity. And we have succeeded in all. 

 

Although the company was already successful, we really feel that this campaign has put us on the map. People now know who we are for sure and they want to work with us.  We have also generated joint client advertising and this has helped with our bottom line profits. We are now also in a position to open desks for new divisions; Interior Design being our latest, and we are seen as a strong competitor to our direct competition.

 

In the past, no advertising / marketing budgets had been put in place, but because of the speed in the development of our business since we introduced this campaign to the public, this has now changed and we are in a position to commit to a budget for this key area of business promotion.

 

Everyone at Solution is proud to have the ‘Found it yet’ campaign as part of our identity and with the exceptional feedback we have been receiving, who knows where we are going to be in 2 years’ time!”
